Leona Lewis' Waterstone's 'attacker' not fit for court

The man accused of assaulting Leona Lewis in a London branch of Waterstone's on October 14 is not fit to attend court, a judge has heard.

Peter Kowalczyk was accused was assaulting the 2007 'X Factor' winner as she undertook a book signing session in the store's Piccadilly branch. He was subsequently sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

Monday (October 26) it was heard in the City of Westminster Magistrates court that Kowalczyk was unfit to attend court. He is free on bail but confined to hospital, reports BBC News.

He is set to undergo further psychiatric tests, the results of which will determine how the case is handled. The case has been adjourned until November 23.

It was recently revealed that Leona Lewis is set to release a cover of Oasis' "Stop Crying Your Heart Out."
